Leaving a legacy gift is a powerful way to make a lasting impact. By including Community Bible Study in your estate plans, you can help ensure the ongoing study of God’s Word around the world for generations to come.
“One generation shall commend your works to another; and shall declare your mighty acts.” – Psalm 145:4
A gift made through a will or living trust can be convenient to arrange. A simple provision or amendment prepared by your attorney at the time you make or update your will or trust is all that is necessary. Gifts included in wills and living trusts are popular because they are flexible, easy to arrange and may be changed with your life circumstances.
Most donors choose to either leave a fixed dollar amount or a percentage of their residual estate.
A beneficiary designation can be a tax-efficient way to support Community Bible Study. Beneficiary designations may be made on the following types of accounts: IRA, 401 (k), life insurance, or cash accounts with a POD designation.
Simply request a beneficiary designation form, often available in digital and paper formats, from the company that manages your account and include Community Bible Study as a full or partial beneficiary.
Non-Cash Assets
Donating certain non-cash assets like real estate or artwork can provide significant tax benefits while also supporting the mission of CBS. Please inquire with the CBS team [insert email address] to discuss any non-cash assets. The CBS Board of Trustees has final authority in the acceptance of non-cash gifts.
Required Minimum Distributions
A qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is a tax-efficient way to give. If you are 70½ or older, you can give up to $100,000 per year from your IRA without any income tax implications. QCDs can count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year. Simply contact your IRA or retirement administrator to notify them of your desire to distribute all or a portion of your IRA directly to CBS. Your retirement administrator will directly disburse your QCD donation to CBS. Further, contact CBS to let us know your gift is on the way through your retirement administrator.
